Hailey Van Rossum stepped up in a big way for the Lancers in their hard fought playoff loss to the Sheridan Bruins in Brampton on Saturday.

The second year veteran led her team with intensity and effort from the moment she stepped on the court to the final whistle. Dynamic at both ends of the court, Van Rossum’s usual toughness on defence went to another level as she refused to give up for a second, despite her team trailing by a good margin for the majority of the second half.

Not known as high scorer on the team, the 5’6 guard made every effort to capitalize on each offensive possession and ended the game with 11 points to tie for top scorer.
