Led by new Head Coach Kevin Beatty, the cross country squad will compete in 4 Invitational Tournaments in preparations for the OCAA Provincial Championships in Toronto.

In his first year with the Lancers, Coach Beatty has been working hard to bring new runners to the team and has begun rigorous training sessions to get the athletes ready for the start of season. Having been a varsity athlete himself, Coach Beatty understand the importance of commitment to both training and the team itself.

With back-to-back-to-back weekends to kick off their season, the Lancers travel to Fanshawe (London), Fleming (Peterborough) and Seneca (Toronto) in September before a hard earned weekend off over Thanksgiving.

The Centennial Colts host the last OCAA Invitational meet of the season on October 13th in preparation for the Provincial Championships they host only 2 weeks later.

Following Provincials, qualifying athletes move on to the National Championships November 9th & 10th in Toronto hosted by the Seneca Sting.

Men's rugby has their latest start in recent years when they hit the road on Wednesday September 19th to face the Fleming Knights in their first of 6 matches. With newly appointed head coach Kyle Ripley at the reigns, the Lancers look to improve on their 2017 record and make a run at the playoffs scheduled for the end of October.

Ripley, who's been an assistant coach with the team for 5 seasons, has rounded out his coaching staff with experienced & talented coaches to help push the team in the right direction. With returning players like Ryan McDougall and Blake Maracle in the mix along with a number of high level recruits, the team is shaping up to be a competitive force in the East division.

The Lancers' play host to the Durham Lords twice and the St. Lawrence Vikings once throughout their season before finishing off league play in Ottawa against the Algonquin Thunder on Sunday Octy. 21st. In a nice change of pace from previous seasons, the majority of the team's games fall on Wednesday nights instead of the typical Saturday or Sunday matches.

Coach Ripley & his coaching staff will be hosting training sessions in the month of August to get a jump start on the season. Anyone interested in attending, contact Coach Ripley.
