LANCERS JOIN OCR EXTRAMURAL CRICKET

It's been several years since a Club team represented Loyalist in OCR Extramurals but, in response to increasing student demand, Men's Cricket has emerged looking to bat in the fun. Although the team didn't get the result it was seeking at its first tournament last week at Humber College, the experience was a great opportunity for the players – all of whom have experience with the outdoor game – to better understand the demands and style of the indoor version of the sport. Lead by coaches Bhavik Patel, a member of the Nursing Faculty at Loyalist College, and Andy Larcombe, a Simulation Laboratory Specialist in Loyalist's School of Health Sciences, the team is now preparing to participate in several more tournaments over 2018/19 and is looking forward to competing against club teams representing many of Ontario's other colleges.
