LANCERS RECOGNIZED WITH OCAA BASKETBALL AWARDS

Four members of the Lancer basketball teams have been honoured with OCAA league awards as voted by coaches from across the Province. 

On the women's side, Lancer Coach Caleb Hugh has been named the OCAA East Division Coach of the Year after a remarkable turnaround from a 1-7 record in 2022 to a third place East finish and a season record of 8-6 in 2022-23. Graduating athlete Cianah Miller earned her first OCAA East Division First Team-All Star. Miller leads her team in points and blocks and consistently put up double-digit scoring numbers throughout the season. 

From the men's team, Jayden Jack and Ahmed Ismail were named to the OCAA East Division All-Rookie team. Jack contributed 181 points on the season while Ismail added 161 of his own. Both athletes played a major role in their team's success down the stretch and have show incredible potential.
