Erin Elizabeth Rose was born in Trenton, Ontario on May 16, 1986. She attended Loyalist College from 2007 to 2009, graduating from the Social Service Worker program with honours.

Her impact on our women’s basketball program was immediate and significant. She quickly asserted herself as one of the top guards in the OCAA and was named both the East Rookie of the Year and the OCAA overall Rookie of the Year. Erin played tenacious defence and was always a threat at the offensive end of the court. Her ball handling skills were exceptional, she was an outstanding passer and could score by shooting the three or attacking the basket. In her rookie season she was named an OCAA All-Star as she averaged 15.5 PPG and over 3 assists per game. She earned the East Scoring Title, ending her rookie season with 217 total points. To cap off her brilliant first year as a Lancer, Erin helped lead her team to a fourth place finish at the OCAA Provincial Championships and was named both an OCAA Academic Award winner and a CCAA Academic All-Canadian.

In her second season as a Lancer, Erin continued to dominate the league as one of the best guards in the Province. Her commitment to being a leader both on and off the court was once again rewarded with an athletic scholarship and became the basis for the legacy she left in Loyalist women’s basketball. Despite her season being cut short by injury, Erin finished the year averaging 13 PPG and was once again named an OCAA All-Star. In addition to these accolades she was named an OCAA Academic Award winner and became a two-time CCAA Academic All-Canadian. Erin won the prestigious Bob Young Award for her outstanding Athletic and Academic Excellence.
