The Loyalist Lancers men's basketball team returned to action after the winter break with a 93-69 loss to the Durham Lords. Despite a strong second quarter where Loyalist outscored Durham 21-12, the Lords pulled away with a dominant third quarter, scoring 34 points.
Tristan Wright led the Lancers with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Alex Arsenault added 11 points and 6 boards. Francesco Pelusi came off the bench to contribute a team-high 15 points. Loyalist dominated second-chance points with 19 compared to Durham's 9 but struggled with turnovers, which Durham converted into 22 points​.
The Lancers will look to rebound next weekend when they host the Seneca Sting on Saturday, January 18th and the Georgian Grizzlies on Sunday, January 19th.
