New Leadership for Men's Rugby

After 5 years as assistant coach with the team, Kyle Ripley will take over as Head Coach of the Lancers' men's rugby program for the upcoming 2018 season.

After an impressive playing career that included four years at Lakehead University, Coach Ripley has shifted his focus to the development of upcoming rugby players. As a coach, he's been involved with the Belleville Bulldogs for more than 10 seasons and in more recent years, has gotten involved with the Team Ontario boys program. Starting as an assistant, Coach Ripley has become a highly sought after head coach and has been at the the helm of the Ontario 16U Boys program for the past two years.

"Kyle's passion for the sport and his desire to continuously improve his knowledge are part of what makes him such a great coach. He's well respected by not only his athletes, but fellow coaches and the rugby community" says Lancer Athletic Director, Jim Buck. "He's a great guy and I'm excited to have him take over the program."

Coach Ripley will be hosting open training sessions throughout the off season for any players that are interested in trying out for the team in the fall. For more information about those dates, contact mensrugby@loyalistcollege.com
