NAPIER & RIPLEY LEAD LANCERS IN LEAGUE HONOURS

The Loyalist Lancers had a pair of major award winners for the 2018-19 Men's Rugby league awards. First year Lancer Mark Napier (Kingston, ON) was named the OCAA Rookie of the Year while Head Coach Kyle Ripley was honoured as the OCAA Coach of the Year. Both were also the recipients of these awards in the East Division.

Napier, a 6'4 student of the Manufacturing Engineering Technician program, made an immediate impact on the Lancer squad and showed a tonne of potenial in his debut season. Napier's committment and work ethic quickly earned the respect of not only his own coaches, but from the coaches around the league who voted on this award.

Head Coach Kyle Ripley has also made a name for himself around the league. Having been a part of the coaching staff for six seasons, Ripley's vast knowledge and incredible experience lead to him earning Coach of the Year accolades in his first year at the helm of the program.

Along with Napier and Ripley, Nate Hoban (Newcastle, ON) and Thomas Paul (Haliburton, ON) were named OCAA East Division All Stars for their contributions to the team.
