LANCERS GO 1-1 ON THE WEEK

The men's volleyball team went 1-1 after a pair of games over the course of the week.

The Lancers travelled to Toronto on Thursday to take on the Centennial Colts and came away with a convincing 3 set win.
Winning 25-21, 25-20 and 25-20, the Lancers dominated the Colts with 25 kills, 7 aces and 9 blocks. Looking sharp and consistent on both offense and defence, the Lancers snapped a 2 game losing streak and earnes their third win of the semester.

First year Lancer Caleb Seguin was the game's leading scorer with 11 points while Josh Roberts and Trevor Fortier contributed 9 each.

Looking to keep their momentum going, the Lancers hosted the Seneca Sting on Saturday January 26th in the Lancerdome.

The Lancers struggled to create an offence against the third place Sting, who put up big blocks in the front row and played great defence on anything that came through. Despite tough, well placed serves and limited errors from the Lancers, the Sting's rock solid serve receive didn't allow any aces in the match and forces the hometeam to find creative ways to score.

Roberts and first year Lancer Trevor Fortier led the team in scoring with 11 points each. Roberts recorded 11 kills while Fortier put up 4 blocks and 7 kills.

The Lancers are back on the court for a double header weekend Saturday, February 1st and Sunday February 2nd when they take on the George Brown Huskies and Canadore Panthers, respectively.
