MAXWELL JOINS LANCERS

The Loyalist Lancers are excited to share news of Kate Maxwell's signing commitment to the Women's Basketball program for the 2022/23 season. 

Hailing from Peterborough, Ontario, Maxwell is entering Loyalist's two-year Paramedic diploma program. With experience at both the high school (Holy Cross Hurricanes) and club (Peterborough Power) levels, the 5'9" all-around player brings a balanced game to the hardwood. 

"Kate is an exceptional athlete that seems to get stronger every minute she is on the floor" says Head Coach Caleb Hugh of the newest addition to the team. "She has demonstrated the ability to adapt and learn quickly which will make her transition to the OCAA that much easier. We anticipate Kate will make her biggest impact on the defensive side of the floor early on but as she continues to spend time working on her scoring moves, she'll be a very real threat."

Coach Hugh and his staff will be hosting training camps over the summer; athletes who are interested in participating are asked to fill out the Prospective Athlete Form found here.
