LANCERS FALL TO WOLVES

The women's basketball team lost a hard fought battle for their second in a row in a 64-58 loss to the Algonquin Thunder at home Friday night.

The Lancers started the game in a big way with a 8-1 lead out of the gate. The Wolves battled back in the second and outscored the Lancers 20-15. The game stayed within 3 points until the start of the third where the Wolves began to pull away. The visiting team dominated at the basket 55 rebounds in the game and 36 points from the paint. 

Once again showing their depth and ability to play true team basketball, the Lancers' bench combined for 21 points in the game compared to the 13 contributed by the Wolves' bench. 

Second year guard for the Lancers, Cianah Miller, had another big game with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals while teammate Grace Callahan shone on defense with 10 rebounds and 5 steals to compliment the 8 points she added to the game. 

The Loss drops the team's record to 4-5 on the season with 5 games left before playoffs.
