LANCERS DOWN BRUINS TO ADVANCE TO SEMI FINALS

The Lancers kicked off their run at the OCAA Provincial Championships in Oakville with a huge 28-5 win over the Sheridan Bruins.

The Bruins scored a try within the first minute of the game, but the Lancers regrouped and came back with a vengeance. Second year Lancer Bailey Meraw scored the first of two tries before the end of the half and Hanna Fitzgerald booted two converts to jump to a 14-5 lead.

The Lancers completely dominated the second half of the game with 2 more tries to end with a 28-5 decision & knocked the Bruins out of the medal round.

Second year player & environmental technician student Kierstyn Bennett was named Player of the Game.

With the win, the Lancers moved onto the semi finals to take on the Humber Hawks.
