Bio

Jo Robinson began coaching with the Lancers women's rugby program in the 2016-2017 season as an Assistant Coach and became Head Coach in the winter of 2024. Robinson brings a wealth of experience to the Lancers as she has a decade of experience coaching at the high school level and has been part of the Belleville Bulldogs Rugby Club for 8 years. A coaching highlight for Robinson was when the Lancers captured a bronze medal at the OCAA Championship in 2017.

Some notable athletic accomplishments Robinson has completed in her career have been as follows:

  • MVP for her Women’s Rugby Team at Lakehead University
  • Played for U23 Minnesota All-Star Team
  • Athlete of the Quarter Century for Quinte Secondary School

Robinson graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. Robinson became a coach as she had countless positive experiences as an athlete, and many of those positive memories can be attributed to a great coach. It is very rewarding to give back to the community that has given so much to her.

Fun Fact – Robinson was named the Ontario Female Coach of the Year in 2017 and in 2018 she was named Rugby Canada Female Coach of the Year.
