LANCERS FALL TO PANTHERS

LANCERS FALL TO PANTHERS

The Lancers dropped their final game of the first half of the season when they took on the East division's third place team, the Canadore Panthers.
The Panthers, who are now 7-2 on the season, took a commanding lead in the first set and held the Lancers to only 14 points.
The 2-7 Lancers rebounded in the second and started off much stronger, putting up a great fight throughout the set. The Lancers showed off smart plays in the front row, catching the Panthers on their heels with well placed tips and forcing their defence to adjust. Both teams fought hard in long, exciting rallies before the Panthers closed out the set 25-19 to take a 2 set lead.

Once again, the Lancers started off strong before letting off the gas and allowing the Panthers to widen their lead and run away with the game to finish in straight sets.

First year Lancer Aingele Campbell-Stewart led the Lancers in scoring with 9 total points while Rachel Cole held down the backcourt with 9 digs.

The Lancers now have over a month off until they get back into regular season action on January 11th when they host the La Cite Coyotes.
