The women's volleyball team got back in the win column with a dominating 3-0 win over the Centennial Colts at home Saturday afternoon.
With a 25-11 win in the first set, the Lancers came right back with another 25-10 set win to take a 2-0 lead in the game. The third set saw a different lineup for the Lancers with great contribution from players coming off the bench to finish out the game with a 25-17 win.
Tough serving and much improved blocking were major contributing factors to victory. "Our team did their jobs today" said Head Coach Ryan Stoness. "We served hard & consistent, played solid defence and capitalized on the free ball opportunities we were given."
First year Lancer Alyssa Diemert recorded 6 kills, 4 blocks and 4 assists for 10 points on the game while returning player Erica Robertson added 6 kills of her own.
The Lancers are back at home November 19th when they travel to the George Brown Huskies.
