DIEMERT SELECTED AS OCAA ALL-STAR

First year Lancer Alyssa Diemert has been named an OCAA East Division 2nd Team All-Star & a member of the East Division All-Rookie team.

The awards were announced Wednesday evening ahead of the OCAA Women's Volleyball Provincial Championships hosted by Sheridan College in Oakville. The awards were voted on by coaches and honored 51 of the top athletes from the East and West divisions. 

Diemert had a breakout season with the Lancers, not only leading her team in scoring but sitting within the top 5 in the league in 3 different stat categories. With 253 points on the season, the 6'0" middle is 5th in the league for total points, is tied for 4th for service aces (48) and finished the season 3rd with 45 blocks. 

Diemert has been an offensive weapon for the Lancers all season. As tough from the service line as she is in the front row, Diemert has proven herself to be a well rounded, highly effective athlete with a bright future in the OCAA.
