X-COUNTRY TEAM MAKING STRIDES TO START THE SEASON

The Lancer X-Country team took their first event of the season in stride when they traveled to Seneca's King campus for the King Challenge Invitational meet.

With only one returning competitor on the team, the young Lancer squad ran in a tight pack and came up with results they were pleased with. Veteran runner Isidore Champagne (Whitehorse, YT)) was the top finisher for the team, crossing the line in 34 minutes and 46 seconds to come in with a 43rd place finish. First year runners Alexander Rettegi and Conner Asuction both came in at 35:40 with the rest of the team coming through shortly after.

"This was the first race for most of the team" says Head COach Kevin Beatty. " The team is happy with their results but we're already looking ahead and making improvements for next week."

The team heads to London on Saturday September 30th for an invitational race hosted by the Fanshawe Falcons.
