X-COUNTRY SHOWING IMPROVEMENT IN SECOND RACE

The cross-country team showed great improvement at the Fanshawe Invitational race in London, ON on Saturday September 30th. With the experience gained from their first race hosted by the Seneca Sting, combined with weather and course conditions, every single runner improved their time from last week.

First year Lancers Connor Asuncion & Brody Clarke were the team's top runners, both improving by 2:30 over their initial race. Lone team veteran runner Isidore Champage & first year Mytchel Clarke were the next two Lancers to cross the finish line, both improving by approximately 2 minutes from the previous race. Alexander Rettegi and Jessie Shaw rounded out the team, each with 40-45 second improvements.

A total score of 173 moved the team up one spot in the overall team standings. With two weeks to go before their next race, the team will continue to develop and expand their experience as they prepare for both the Centennial Invitational on October 14th and for the OCAA Championships hosted by the Conestoga Condors at the end of the month on October 28th.
