Lancers Earn Academic Honours Across the Board in 2024–2025 Season
The Loyalist Lancers are proud to celebrate an outstanding academic year, with 58 student-athletes earning OCAA All-Academic honours for the 2024–2025 season.
These awards recognize varsity athletes who maintained an academic average of 80% or higher while competing in an OCAA-sanctioned sport—a reflection of their hard work, focus, and dedication both on and off the field of play.
Among the 27 member institutions in the OCAA, Loyalist's total of 58 honourees puts the college in strong academic standing across the province. For a mid-sized institution, this achievement speaks volumes about the student-first culture fostered by Lancer Athletics and Loyalist College as a whole.
"We're so proud of our athletes—not just for their performance in competition, but for the dedication they show in the classroom." Says Director of Athletics & Recreation, Cristy Latham. "Being a varsity athlete takes incredible commitment and the ability to balance multiple priorities. The fact that so many of our athletes excel academically speaks to their work ethic and drive. They're not only focused on dominating in their sport, but also on setting themselves up for success beyond graduation."
This recognition is a result of the collective efforts of athletes, coaches, and support staff who work together to ensure students are supported every step of the way—on the court, in the classroom, and in their communities.
Congratulations to all of our 2024–2025 OCAA All-Academic honourees!
