The men's basketball earned their second win of the season when they took down the Algonquin Thunder in their first home game on Friday night.
A physical game right from the start, the intensity only increase as the scores got higher and closer.
Despite the Lancers low shooting percentage,, the home team continuously improved throughout the game and held a 1 point lead at the half. The game was a back and forth battle that saw both teams putting it all out their to hold onto or regain the lead.
"Some days the ball just doesn't go in the net and tonight we found other ways to win the game" says Head Coach Patrick Kabeya. "The guys picked up the defensive intensity throughout the game and were able to turn Algonquin turnovers into layups."
The Lancers get back in action Saturday in the Lancerdome when they host the La Cite Coyotes at 3pm
