LANCERS WIN TO FINISH OUT FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON

The Lancers improved to 8-2 on the season after an 88-70 victory over the U of T Mississauga Eagles in Toronto.
 
The Lancers were quick out of the gates and held the Eagles to only 25 points in the entire first half. With sharp offense and good ball movement, the Lancers held a 14 point lead going into the second. 
 
The third quarter saw the Eagles close the gap with an 11 point run at the end of the quarter to bring the game within 7. WIth both teams fighting hard at the start of the fourth, the Eagles continued to gain on the Lancers and trailed but only 1 mid way through the quarter. 
The Lancers answered back and went on an impressive 12 point run of their own to extend their lead and eventually pullaway for an 88-70 win.
 
Jeremiah Brown lead his team with 22 points and 8 rebounds while first year standout Ebenezer Teklezgi recorded 19 points. Veteran player Akim Rout had another excellent showing a both ends of the court with 11 points and 10 boards for his second double double of the season. 
 
With the win, the Lancers sit third in the East division and are in line to have an exciting and competitive second half. 
 
After a well earned break over the holiday season, the Lancers get back in action in January when they take on the Durham Lords in Oshawa on Tuesday January 14th.
