LANCERS TAKE DOWN STING IN STRAIGHT SETS

The Lancers took down the Seneca Sting 3-0 at home on Saturday. Now 6-8 on the season and in playoff contention, the Lancers have shown major improvement with every opponent they've faced second semester.

With a mixed line up and everyone in the game, the Lancers set the tone and pace early on and did a great job maintaining it, regardless of who was on the court.

The Lancers cruised to victory in straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 27-25. Every healthy member of the team not only saw considerable court time, but each person made major contributions to the win.

First year Lancer Kaleb Beer showed off huge improvements in his game, adding consistent attacks, tough serves and good defence while Jaden Collier continued to shine both offensively and defensively.

Returning player Caleb Seguin was a dynamic force in front row middle. 6'4 Seguin dominated the net with huge blocks and commanding attacks. Normally a right side player, Seguin fit into the middle nicely and demonstrated the uniqueness of the Lancer lineup with their versatility and depth.

The Lancers have 4 games remaining in the season with the next one coming against the top ranked Durham Lords on Wednesday February 5 at 8 PM.
