Jillian Hoftyzer joined head coach, Ryan Stoness's staff in the fall of 2019 after finishing up an outstanding four-year career with the Lancers. Hoftyzer’s accomplishments on the court led to several well-deserved awards and recognition including:

• Dave Butler Award (2015)
• Women’s Volleyball MVP (2015)
• Arthur McFarlane Award (2016)
• Athletic Scholarship Recipient (2013,2014,2015,2018)
• Women’s Volleyball MVP (2019)
• President’s Award (2019)
• CCAA Academic All-Canadian (2019)
• OCAA East Division 1^st Team All-Star (2019)

Coach Hoftyzer graduated from Loyalist in 2016 with an advanced diploma in Fitness & Health Promotion and chose to continue her studies in Loyalist’s Post-Graduate Public Relations program. Upon graduation, Hoftyzer made the jump into coaching to give back to her community and pass on her knowledge of the game to future Lancers.

Fun Fact – Jillian went to school with Justin Bieber.
