Thompson & Hollinger Named Athletes of the Week
Isaac Hollinger has been named Lancer Athlete of the Week after his performance at the OCAA Provincial Championships held over the weekend.
Hosted by Humber College at Albion Hills Conservation Area, the men's Championship saw 58 runners from across Ontario competing for top honours and a chance to advance to the CCAA National Championships in Alberta.
Battling tough conditions on a technical course, Hollinger, who is in his first year with the Lancers, turned in a season best performance in the 8 km race. Clocking in at 30:52 Hollinger's time secured him an impressive 19th place finish and a spot in the National Championships.
CCAA National Cross Country Championships take place in Calgary Alberta on November 13, 2021.

Daija Thompson has been named Lancer Athlete of the Week after a stellar showing at the OCAA Women's Rugby 7s Provincial Championships hosted by Durham College.
Thompson scored two tries for her team, contributed countless momentum-stopping tackles and was named Player of the Game against the St. Lawrence Surge in the tournament.
A dual sport athlete and former OFSAA wrestling champion, Thompson is no stranger to contact sports. Despite never playing a minute of rugby until tryouts this past September, through hard work, commitment, and dedication to being the best she can be, Thompson quickly became an integral part of the Lancer lineup.
