MYERS, ARSENAULT & JACK RECEIVE OCAA HONOURS

The Loyalist Lancers basketball program is proud to announce the stellar achievements of three outstanding players recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their remarkable performances this season.

Daniellia Myers (Vaughan, ON), a 5'11" forward on the Lancers basketball team, has been named to the OCAA Women's Basketball East Division Second Team All-Star. Myers' exceptional contributions on the court have been highlighted by her 139 points this season, boasting an impressive 59.6% shooting percentage. Averaging 9.9 points per game, Myers has demonstrated versatility, tallying 3 blocks, 17 assists, 35 steals, and securing 128 total rebounds.

Joining the ranks of OCAA honorees is Alex Arsenault (Picton, ON), who has been recognized as a member of the OCAA Men's Basketball East Division All-Rookie Team. Arsenault's inaugural season has been remarkable, showcasing his defensive abilities with 6 blocks and 19 steals. Additionally, he contributed 24 assists, grabbed an impressive 119 rebounds, and tallied 132 points. Arsenault's led the team in rebounding as a first-year athlete and boasted a third-place ranking in team scoring.

Capping off the awards in second year Lancer standout, Jayden Jack (Toronto, ON). The 5'10" point guard earned the title of OCAA Men's Basketball East Division Scoring Champion and First Team All-Star after an outstanding season. Jack's offensive prowess has been unmatched, leading the league in scoring with an impressive 391 points and averaging 21.7 points per game with an exceptional 72.2% shooting accuracy. In addition to his scoring proficiency, Jack has contributed significantly on both ends of the court, recording 54 steals, 58 assists, and 68 rebounds throughout the season.
