Bio

Bryan Dunham has staple of the of Athletics Department since 1999. With a Bachelor of Physical Education from Brock University and a Diploma in Sports Injury Management from Sheridan College, Bryan is a Registered Kinesiologist and Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)).

In addition to his work at Loyalist, Bryan is the owner of Quinte Athletic Therapy Services, providing care and support to athletes and community members across the Quinte region. He frequently covers high school sports and serves as the athletic therapist for the Belleville Bulldogs RFC, ensuring player safety at home games.

Bryan is deeply committed to education, teaching courses across multiple programs at Loyalist. His teaching portfolio includes Health and Fitness, Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Sports Injury Management, and Program Design. He also teaches Anatomy and Physiology in the Paramedic Alternate Delivery program, bridging his expertise to different disciplines.

Bryan’s career highlights include serving on medical teams for high-profile events such as the World University Games (1993), Pan Am Games (2015), and Canadian Figure Skating Championships (multiple years). His experience spans international competitions like the Special Olympics World Winter Games (1997) and the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships (2004).

Outside of work, Bryan enjoys outdoor adventures, camping, golfing, and cycling. A testament to his endurance and determination, he is a four-time Ironman finisher. Bryan’s dedication to health, sports, and education makes him an important part of the Loyalist College community.
