Bio

Dave started working at Loyalist in 2002 in Residence and, after 20 years of service, came "home" to Athletics in September 2022. Within his role as Student Athlete Advisor, Dave focuses on academic planning and advising, providing resources and supports, advocating for student-athletes while promoting self-advocacy, offering communication support, ensuring policy and procedure adherence, and overseeing OCAA/CCAA academic reporting.

As a former member of the men's volleyball team at Loyalist, (1998-2002), Dave achieved significant accolades. He as two OCAA Gold medals (1999, 2002), one OCAA Silver medal (2001), a CCAA Bronze medal (2002), and a CCAA fifth-place finish (1999). Individually, he was a two-time OCAA League All-Star as a libero in 2001 and 2002. Continuing his love for the game after graduation, Dave made the leap into coaching and was a member of the Lancer coaching staff for many years. He served as an assistant coach for the women's volleyball team in 2004-2005 and as head coach of the men's volleyball team from 2005-2014.

Dave is passionate about character development and helping student-athletes apply the intangible skills they gain through varsity sports to their personal and professional growth. He strives to provide growth and development opportunities through meaningful relationships and interactions with varsity student-athletes.

Outside of work, Dave is a proud father of four, dedicated to raising good humans. He enjoys the outdoors, spending time on the water, playing hockey, fishing, golfing, and nurturing his children's love for sports as they pursue their interests.
