The Loyalist Lancers men's basketball team returned to action after the winter break with a 93-69 loss to the Durham Lords. Despite a strong second quarter where Loyalist outscored Durham 21-12, the Lords pulled away with a dominant third quarter, scoring 34 points.
Tristan Wright led the Lancers with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Alex Arsenault added 11 points and 6 boards. Francesco Pelusi came off the bench to contribute a team-high 15 points. Loyalist dominated second-chance points with 19 compared to Durham's 9 but struggled with turnovers, which Durham converted into 22 points.
The Lancers will look to rebound next weekend when they host the Seneca Sting on Saturday, January 18th and the Georgian Grizzlies on Sunday, January 19th.
