BIG IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE GOLF TEAM

BIG IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE GOLF TEAM

In their inaugural year as an OCAA team, the Lancer Golf team has already made significant improvements in only two tournaments.

After a rocky start in Windsor at the tough championship Ambassador Golf Club, the Lancers showed vast improvements when they took part in the Georgian Grizzlies Invitational at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Barrie, ON.

The team shot an impressive 48 strokes better than their previous tournament with lone female golfer Kate Maxwell showing the biggest improvement, bettering her score by 11.

Second year Lancer Elliot Villeneuve was the team leader, shooting 9 over par for a score of 81 and placing him in a 6-way tie for 26th. Teammates Anderson Scott, Rorey Kehoe, Zackary Slaven  and Ben Fehr all had strong finishes and improved their standing from the first tournament.

The Lancers have one more invitational tournament before the OCAA Provincial Championships in October.
