HOFTYZER NAMED OCAA ALL STAR

HOFTYZER NAMED OCAA ALL STAR

Fourth year Lancer Jillian Hoftyzer was named an OCAA 1st Team All Star at the Provincial Championship banquet in Sudbury on Friday morning.

Hoftyzer, a 5'9 middle, led her team in kills (150), serving aces (43) and blocks (62), combining for an impressive 255 points. Sitting in third place in the OCAA in overall scoring and first in total blocks, Hoftyzer quickly made a name for herself as one of the most dominant and experienced players in the league.

Hoftyzer's contributions to her team go well beyond what can be seen on a stats sheet. She's a vocal presence from the first serve to the final whistle and was a natural leader both on and off the court. Never one to give up on the ball in games or practice, Hoftyzer continuously leads by example and encourages her teammates to be and do their best.

Congratulations Jillian!
