HOLLINGER ADVANCES TO CCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Local runner Isaac Hollinger has qualified for the CCAA National Championships after a strong outing at the OCAA Provincial Championships. 

Hosted by Humber Hawks at Albion Hills Conservation area, Hollinger and teammates Michael Stainforth, Ian Linton, Shane Green and Mustafa Alali battled tough conditions and fierce competition to push to promising results both individually and as a team. 

Hollinger clocked an impressive time of 30:52 in the 8 km race, earning himself a top 20 finish in the OCAA. Only 62 seconds away from a top 10 finish, Hollinger shaved 6 seconds off his time at the previous OCAA race hosted by Centennial College. 

As a team, the Lancers placed 7th out of 9 schools and hold a 36:43 team average. 

With the top 20 finish, Hollinger advances the the CCAA National Championships on Saturday November 13th in Calgary, Alberta hosted by St. Mary's University.
